Grandma is 90

Here is the family photo after the baptism.

Aaron was asked to come spend 3 months in Scottsdale by his work so the whole family moved down.  It was delightful to have them close.  We snuck in a MIM visit.
And enjoyed many park and dinner outings.  Kelvin got to know Uncle Keifee.

We had some wonderful convert baptisms. Two are here and one Sister I didn't get a photo of.  She is a San Carlos Apache and Rod was overwhelmed by the presence of  'The Old Ones' anxiously awaiting her baptism so their work could get done.  We are so blessed.  Rod continues to form close relationships with our missionaries, arranging P-day activities, supporting those that struggle, getting bicycles fixed, counseling, challenging them to progress and grow.  They Love Bishop Castillo!

My Mom turned 90 years old this year.  She often wishes that she was done with this life.  In fact, Rod commented that he strongly felt other hands on his shoulder during Annalise's confirmation, her Grandpa Ekins and my Dad.  Mom said she felt it too and told Dad he should take her with him when he left.  She thought it was the first time he hadn't minded her and was quite upset with him.
I honestly don't blame her, but I am grateful she is still here to inspire and encourage us.
We threw her a birthday party.  We had it in the 20th ward building cultural hall and had it catered.  Chris and Jeff did the decorations.  We did the invitations, and got her new clothes for the event. Oh and I made her a corsage.  We had lots of people come, some old 20th warders and lots from her current ward.

One of the balloons escaped and left Lanea so upset.

So fun!

The Happy Birthday singing!

So fun to see these great people.

There were lots of kids.

Elena managed to keep all those kids engaged and entertained!  Thank You!!!
 What a fun evening!
