It's a hot summer!

Of course it's hot...and dry. Our 'monsoon' was a no show.  That is Arizona for you!  I found some photos on Rod's phone that I wanted to include so here they are.
I have posted photos of my art work but not so much of Rod's.  He has taken drawing and watercolor classes.  This was taken during his class.  The beret was to strengthen the artistic success. He really is improving greatly!

I'm told having one's tongue out improves concentration.
In February, Rod went hiking with some missionaries.  This was the landscape!  He told me there was snow but I never realized how Much till I found the photos on his phone.  It is nice to remember that we had a long, cool, beautiful spring and that it was actually cold then.  I believe he said this was at Freemont Saddle. (Peralta trail in the Superstitions)

What is this white stuff???

One hike I went on with Amelia Theobold and Rod. We do enjoy showing off our beautiful desert!

Our quick trip to Cedar City with a visit to the temple as a reward.

A gift from Riker's kids....a Spiderman Poptart! So cute!

We enjoyed a fun meal with the Tucson clan for Jul 4th.

Finally, my sister and her husband have spent this last year teaching English in China.  It was a fantastic experience for them.  They met and grew to love so many people, learned so much, and saw the beauties of China.  They got to take many tours and also visit with people they made friends with...seeing regular people at home, not a common experience there. They took hundreds of gorgeous photos and shared them with us. Just before coming home, they visited Tibet. Again, an amazing experience with lots of wonderful photos but this one just stole my heart.  I love the color, expression, sense of motion and joy!  I have a very  cool, talented, blessed family!
