The Epic Castillo Family California Adventure! part A

See those beautiful roses?  My Husband did it yet again.  He surprised me with a rose for every year we've been married.  You are probably thinking that it shouldn't be a surprise since I know the date of my anniversary....but you see I never remember  when it comes around.  He is so good to me.  How thankful I am for him and all he does.

He even sweats his love.  Of course It is warm around here.

For a year or more, my sweet Husband has been planning a family reunion.  He figured out that the July 4th holiday was the best time for everyone...especially since we have so many different school schedules.  Several family members expressed interest in seeing the Giant Redwoods so he made reservations for the whole crew at the Crescent City KOA.  Well, the day finally came.  It was wonderful!

There were tents set up, some with cots.

Grandma and the Richardson clan came in their big RV.

 We did a few crafts.

Mostly the cousins played with each other, generally cheerfully.

We sure had fun just spending time together.

Rod and I managed the food.  Rod especially wanted to cook in Dutch ovens.  His hot apple cobbler was a big hit...especially as that first night was quite chilly for us AZ kids.
