The Alhambra

That is the title of a song (part of the Andalucía suite by E Leucona) so I am still on a roll.

We gave our dear kids a day to recover, just walked around in Fuengirola a little, shopped in our little corner market and the fruiteria, saw the mission office where we spend most of our week days,  and walked down to the boardwalk to see the Mediterranean.  Getting to see the Med often is one of the things I will miss when we go home.  Rod 'went to work' and I played Grandma.  We fit in a couple of naps too.
Then we took them to Granada to see The Alhambra!  (See posts of our previous visit in July if you want to see more)

While we were waiting to get into the palace

there were some dance moves to perfect.

It's work alright.

No strollers allowed in the palace so the Mom had to figure out the baby carrier.

The baby wasn't too happy about it though.

You can see why this started life as a fort.  It is situated on a steep hill.

Notice the tile and plaster work.  M wasn't too impressed.

The idea was to get a family photo in this historic building.  I think this beautiful family belongs in a magazine!

This lion fountain is at the center of the palace.

That is a ceiling...just amazing!

Those eyes just grab me.

No more photos!

Thumbs up!

Finally, a smile!

A real Spanish cat?

This was covered with ivy in the summer.  I just thought it looked neat in it's winter state.

We wore the parents out at least!

The daughter on the other hand... still going strong!

Pretty-the place and the people! The last two pics are funny and so true of outings our family takes!
